Faculty Cosmetic Surgery Practice

The decision to undergo cosmetic and aesthetic surgery is an important one. The physicians in the division of Plastic Surgery are dedicated to clinical and academic excellence. We strive to make this individual decision to alter physical appearance a personal, caring, safe and positive experience.

An internationally respected institution for academic excellence, we offer the complete array of state of the art cosmetic surgical procedures. Our experienced aesthetic surgeons specialize in facial plastic surgery (facelift, browlift, eyelid surgery, rhinoplasty, etc.) and body contouring procedures (breast surgery, abdominoplasty, liposuction, etc.). Complementary therapies such as skin care, botox, soft tissue fillers and microdermabrasion are also available.

At you initial consultation you will meet with a faculty member who is board certified in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery- the only board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties to certify Plastic Surgeons. The consultation will focus on listening to your goals and expectations followed by an examination. We will then discuss whether we share the same vision of your outcome and if we can achieve the desired result.

All surgery has risks. It is our goal to minimize these risks as much as possible. We know that different patients like different locations for their surgery. Some seek the comfort of a full service hospital while others the comfort of a smaller center. We offer two locations for surgery: The world-renowned Stanford University Medical Center, and the Recovery Inn of Menlo Park. An overnight stay is available at both locations.

In summary, aesthetic surgery is an elective procedure that demands a serious, studied approach with attention to detail. We are committed to delivering the best possible surgical result and a satisfied happy client. Many physicians are trained in how to perform cosmetic surgery, but only a few are respected to teach them the art of plastic surgery.

Stanford Plastic Surgery Consultation Office

The Stanford Plastic Surgery Consultation Office seeks to provide quality cosmetic surgery to patients for a more affordable fee. The clinic offers a full range of services from skin care to surgical procedures including surgery of the face, breasts, and body. The clinic is staffed by one of our highly trained plastic surgery residents in their final year of training. The residents are supervised in the clinic and during surgery by board-certified attending plastic surgeons that are experienced in cosmetic surgery.

Consultations are available on Wednesdays from 2pm to 5pm. At the initial consult you will meet with the Chief Resident and an Attending Surgeon. You will be able to talk about your goals and expectations for the changes you desire. The Resident and Attending will examine you, and a surgical plan to meet these goals will be discussed. You will then meet with our scheduler to arrange a pre-operative visit and schedule a surgical date. The fees for surgery are due two weeks prior to the date of the procedure.
