Dr. Nguyen and Team Receive R01 Grant
Dr. Dung Nguyen, a clinical professor in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, has received an R01 grant in the amount of $2.7M from the National Institutes of Health for her research project, “Development of a Bioengineered Therapeutic Device for the Prevention of Lymphedema.”

ACS HOPE and the Surgical Training Collaborative in Lusaka, Zambia—Part 3
Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon Dr. Anita Mohan recently returned from Zambia as part of the ASC HOPE program at the University Teaching Hospital. She shares her background and experience.

Drs. Momeni, Yesantharao Secure Grant from PSF
Dr. Arash Momeni, an associate professor in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and Dr. Pooja Yesantharao, a PGY3 resident, have received recognition from the Plastic Surgery Foundation (PSF) for their proposal titled “Longitudinal Impact of Acellular Dermal Matrix (ADM) on the Peri-Prosthetic Environment.” Their project has been awarded funding that permits up to $50,000 for two years through the PSF-Directed Research Grant, Breast Implant Safety Program.

Threads of Unity: A Craniofacial Picnic Annual Tradition
On Sunday, June 2, 2024, the 7th Annual Craniofacial Family Picnic for patients of the Stanford Children's Cleft & Craniofacial Center and their families took place, sponsored by the lab of Dr. Derrick Wan and the Creating Smiles fund.
