Dr. Kahn Promoted to Clinical Professor

David Kahn, MD

Dr. David M. Kahn has been promoted to Clinical Professor in Surgery, effective February 16, 2025. 

“Dr. David Kahn is one of our long-standing faculty members. His expertise in aesthetic surgery adds a tremendous dimension to our comprehensive plastic & reconstructive surgery program. He is an outstanding educator.” said Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Chief Dr. James Chang.

Dr. Kahn serves as Co-Director of the Resident Cosmetic Surgery Clinic and Section Chief of Aesthetic Surgery. He is also recognized for his leadership in national and international societies, including roles with The Aesthetic Society and the American Society for Plastic Surgeons (ASPS).

He earned his medical degree at Albany Medical College. He completed a General Surgery Residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry New Jersey, followed by a Plastic Surgery Residency at UCSF. He pursued further specialization with a Hand and Microsurgery Fellowship at NYU Medical Center and a Craniofacial Surgery Fellowship at Stanford University.

He joined Stanford’s Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 2000.
