INSIDE AAHS/ASPN/ASRM 2025: Stanford Plastic Surgery Recap

The AAHS/ASPN/ASRM (American Association for Hand Surgery, American Society for Peripheral Nerve, American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery) held their 2025 meetings in Big Island, Hawaii this past weekend. In addition to alumni giving lectures and moderating panels, there were several highlights for Stanford Plastic Surgery:

AWARDS & HONORS

  • Dr. Pooja Yesantharao and faculty mentor Dr. Arash Momeni) won Best Overall Paper at ASRM2025 for their project entitled: "VTE Chemoprophylaxis in Plastic Surgery: A Randomized Trial of Apixaban vs. Enoxaparin."
  • Dr. Arash Momeni was named Secretary of ASRM for the 2025-2026 year.
