INSIDE IBSD 2025: Stanford Plastic Surgery Recap

From April 4–5, 2025, Stanford Plastic Surgery was represented on the international stage at the 13th International Breast Surgery Symposium (IBSD) in Düsseldorf, Germany—now recognized as the largest breast-focused meeting in Europe. With more than 600 breast and plastic and reconstructive surgeons in attendance, the symposium was a gathering of global expertise and innovation in breast surgery.

Dr. Arash Momeni had the honor of moderating a session, participating as a panelist, and delivering two invited lectures:

- Sense and Sensibility in Autologous Breast Reconstruction
- Volume Replacement Techniques: Limitations and Pitfalls

Reflecting on the experience, Dr. Momeni shared, “It was a tremendous opportunity to connect with surgeons from all over the world, make friends, and discuss opportunities for future collaboration.” The symposium provided a valuable forum for exchanging ideas and advancing surgical techniques in breast surgery.
