INSIDE PSRC 2026: Stanford Plastic Surgery at the 71st Annual PSRC Meeting

June 4-7, 2026

Faculty, trainees, researchers, and alumni from Stanford Plastic Surgery participated in the 71st Annual Meeting of the Plastic Surgery Research Council (PSRC), held June 4–7, 2026, in Los Angeles, California.

  • Dr. Derrick Wan served as a panelist on the Surgeon-Scientist Panel and was announced as Chair of the 2027 PSRC Annual Meeting.
  • Dr. Dung Nguyen presented Beyond the Neutral Zone: Reconstructing Cognition and moderated the Lymphovascular and Transplant Session.
  • Several Stanford faculty members served as moderators throughout the scientific program. Drs. Matthew Murphy and Paige Fox moderated the Best Papers: Limb/Nerve Session. Dr. Anita Mohan moderated the Breast/General Reconstruction Session and the Aesthetics, Disparities, and Education Session. Dr. Anna Zhou moderated the Breast/General Reconstruction Session, and Dr. Nicholas Bene moderated the Gender-Affirming Surgery Session.
  • Stanford alumni also held moderator roles during the meeting. Dr. Arhanna Chattopadhyay moderated the Skull/Face Session, and Dr. Danielle Rochlin moderated the Breast/General Reconstruction Session.
     

Members of the Hagey Laboratory received three presentation awards during the meeting:

  • Best Presentation by a Resident/Fellow — Christopher Vann Lavin
  • Best Presentation by a Medical Student/Non–Plastic Surgery Resident — Jennifer Parker
  • Best Presentation by a College/Postgraduate Student — Caleb Valencia
     

The award-winning research was conducted through the Hagey Laboratory under the leadership of Drs. Derrick Wan and Michael Longaker.
