Clinical Professor Dr. Dung Nguyen and her mentee, PGY-2 Resident Pooja Yesantharao, received the Stanford Cancer Center Clinical Innovation Fund for their proposal titled, "Shifting the Paradigm: Establishing a Comprehensive, Multidisciplinary Lymphedema Prevention Program."

On receiving the grant funding, Dr. Yesantharao says, "It is such an honor to receive this grant funding, and I am humbled to be a part of the lymphedema research team. We currently have an excellent therapeutic pipeline for lymphedema patients. With this grant funding, we hope to develop a robust upstream network for lymphedema prevention and early detection, by investing in cutting-edge diagnostic technologies such as bioimpedance spectroscopy. In doing so, we hope to create a center for excellence in lymphedema care at the Women's Cancer Center."
