Drs. Gordon Lee and Ashley Titan were both honored at the Stanford Medical Education Awards Ceremony on June 1, 2023. These awards highlight their significant contributions to medical education and patient care.

Plastic Surgery Professor Dr. Lee received the Arthur L. Bloomfield Award for Excellence in the Teaching of Clinical Medicine. This accolade, bestowed upon him by Stanford medical students, recognizes his exceptional clinical teaching abilities. This award is rarely given to faculty members making Dr. Lee’s achievement particularly notable.

On receiving the award, Dr. Lee said, “It is an honor and a pleasure to be at Stanford and to teach such remarkable students who are engaged, enthusiastic, ask good questions, and challenge me in ways that make me a better physician, surgeon, educator, and person.”

During the same ceremony, Plastic Surgery Resident Dr. Ashley Titan was presented with the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Award for Humanism and Excellence in Teaching. This esteemed award acknowledges Dr. Titan's dedication to compassionate patient care and her commitment to teaching. Her exceptional humanistic approach towards patients, families, students, and colleagues was recognized and honored.
