Dental Medicine and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Program
The Dental Medicine and Oral & Maxillofacial Program at Stanford is dedicated to ensuring individualized quality patient care and customized treatment planning. In addition, we provide care to individuals who require the back-up support of the hospital environment for their oral and dental treatment needs. We understand that all the body’s systems are interconnected, and we will ensure your orofacial health needs do not stand in the way of the process of restoring overall optimal health.

Academic Program
The Dental Medicine & Surgery service is committed to the development and education of medical and dental students, residents, fellows and community doctors. We host internal Stanford residents from the Emergency Department, Plastic Reconstructive Surgery and Otolaryngology (Ear Nose and Throat) services. We provide opportunities for undergraduate Stanford students, visiting dental school students as well as international scholars to gain familiarity with dentoalveolar surgery, orthognathic surgery, craniofacial surgery and oral pathology. Our goal is to foster interdisciplinary communication and collaboration to better serve our patients.
