An introduction to the RAMP UP pathway

Achieving equitable access to oral healthcare will always be a journey. The American Dental Association, the American Dental Education Association, the International Association of Dental Research, and the American Association of Dental Research all recognize a persistent lack of diversity in the field of Dental Medicine. The purpose of Stanford’s Research and Mentoring Program for Underrepresented Pre-dental students (RAMP UP) is to introduce underrepresented minority (URM), first generation and low-income (FLI) high school and community college students to research related to a healthcare career. If this is of interest to you, please indicate so in your application. You will have the opportunity to apply for stipend support after acceptance to the program. Please note, funding is not guaranteed.
